Using the Japanese principles of Shibumi these simple works aim to encourage the viewer to pause and experience the essence of the subject matter.

Nain is Welsh for grandmother. These small collages take the colours from a tapstry made by the Artist’s grandmother. The shapes are taken from modified forms seen in the north Welsh landscape where she was born.
